Brake shoe adjusters

General information
    Brake shoe adjuster is mechanical device built in braking system of car or locomotive, with frictional elements like brake shoes made of cast iron or synthetic materials.
    Brake shoe adjuster is used for keeping constant distance between brake shoe and wheel set tread independently of brake shoes and road wheel wear.

Types and versions
    At present we manufacture two basic type of brake shoe adjusters: DRV2A and DRV3A in several versions:

Brake shoe adjusters are manufactured in regulating length from 200 up to 600 mm.

Construction
    DRV
brake shoe adjuster, with shape of long cylinder, contains regulating mechanism. This mechanism consists of spindle with special thread (not self-locking), mating nuts and set of springs and elements in the shape of rings and sleeves composing coupling.
      At each braking and releasing cycle, correction of spindle position occurs in housing as a result of sequence of coupling process and nuts displacement in relation to spindle. This correction enables to keep constant distance between brake shoe adjusters and race of road wheel independently of thickness of brake shoe adjusters.

Brake shoe adjusters are made in different design versions with operation stroke from 200 mm up to 600 mm every 50 mm.
